Lizzy is designed as a resource for all those who help children with difficulties in learning to read and to spell. The knowledge and skills are developed slowly, systematically and thoroughly. The clinician can draw on the levels needed by each individual child as required.
Many of the spelling rules are unique to Lizzy and the manner in which the work is implemented employs a simple, but effective, approach.
The work is designed to use as few sight words as possible, especially in the early levels. A list of the sight words used, and at which level they are introduced, is provided with the contents of each level.
